A Guided Meditation: Positive Thinking Meditation

Guided Meditation

Have you ever tried meditating? Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a way to look at things differently.

By engaging in a meditation practice, you will start to learn the patterns and habits of your mind. It promotes the practice of cultivating a new, more positive way of being.

One thing we want to address right away - there is no right or wrongway to meditate. To start, try sitting with yourself for a few minutes and just focus on your breathing - in and out, in and out. If you feel as though your mind starts to wander, just try to shift your focus back to yourself. Believe it or not, meditation does take practice.

Let each meditation grow on its own. If you're in the mood, try to do it for a little bit longer. If you're not in the mood, try to sit with yourself for a few minutes at least and just breathe.

Another tip we recommend to beginners is to make a short ambient playlist (2-5 songs) that equals the amount of time you want to meditate for. That way you stay focused on yourself... and not your timer. Some days will be better than others and that's OK.

Need some additional guidance? Try this "Positive Thinking Meditation." We think it's a perfect way to close out 2016 and set new intentions for 2017.

Enjoy & Namaste!
